International Student Orientation

The Office of International Education is excited to welcome
New International Students to TAMUCC!

We will host a required International Student Orientation on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 1:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the University Center, Jetty Room 123 (1st Floor). The event is designed specifically for new international students with a focus on uncovering the answers to their questions and providing information about on-campus and off-campus resources.

This event is free and open to all international students!

Free parking will be available in the Bayside Parking Garage from 8:00am-7:00pm .        

              

At the New International Student Orientation, we will educate you on the following topics:

  • Requirements for maintaining F-1 status
  • How to register for classes at TAMUCC
  • Student health insurance
  • How to obtain a social security card
  • How to obtain a driver’s license
  • How to use the library
  • Employment/Internships on & off campus
  • Your benefits as an international student
  • Traveling inside & outside the United States
  • Requirements if facing a hardship
  • Requirements if changing course of study or not completing program by date on I-20
  • Transferring into a higher degree program
  • Resources & Contacts to help you

New international students must register for orientation by contacting the Office of International Education. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
